About
The MSP model takes the technician's labor and the customer's cash, and keeps the difference.
TechGig exists to remove that middleman. AI on the floor. Technicians on top. Customers pay for outcomes. Techs earn what their skills are actually worth.
The problem
What is broken with the MSP model.
The MSP business model bills per user per month on multi-year contracts, regardless of how many tickets actually surface. A 25-person company can pay thousands a month for what is often fewer than ten calls of real work.
Inside the contract, a quarterly "roadmap" motion exists to keep expanding scope - new vendor licenses, new audits, new "strategic" line items, none of which the customer asked for. Pricing opacity is the margin.
On the labor side, the help desk technician who actually fixes the printer sees a fraction of what the customer is billed for that hour. The gap is the MSP's overhead, sales commission, and shareholder return. The customer pays it. The technician does not see it.
The structural answer
Replace the model, not patch it.
AI is built to handle the routine tickets - resets, walkthroughs, software pushes. Our design target is forty to sixty percent of tickets resolved this way, at zero dollars and zero minutes of human time. We did not bolt this on as a value-add. It is the price floor that makes the rest of the math work.
Techs work on a marketplace. Tickets route to the right specialist for the job. Pay is per credit, not per hour, with tier-based rates from $20 to $36. They keep what the middleman used to pocket.
Customers pay per ticket, or pick a plan, or quote a project. No multi-year contracts, no per-seat tax, no quarterly upsell calendar. The bill matches the work.
How the platform shows up locally
The engine. And the regional surfaces it powers.
TechGig was built in Utah by the team behind MesaVerse IT. The marketplace, the AI layer, and the credit math were all designed for the regulated small businesses we know best - dental practices, clinics, law firms, and other compliance-bound teams.
MesaVerse is the Utah brand. TechGig is the engine underneath it, built to route techs and customers anywhere. Same product, two surfaces.
What we stand on
Three values. Three positions you can reject.
If your IT vendor's values list reads identically to ours, one of us is lying.
Transparency over comfort.
No hidden margins, no opaque retainer math. The customer sees what the tech earns. The tech sees what the customer pays. Some customers would prefer not to know. We tell them anyway.
AI is a tool, not a sales pitch.
It handles what it can - resets, walkthroughs, routine config. It does not replace humans for the work that needs judgment. We do not lead the headline with the word AI because the product proves itself in the chat demo.
Local labor, national platform.
Techs serve the markets they live in. The platform is built to route nationally, but the person showing up at your office should live in your county. The MSP model concentrates labor in cheap geographies. We are building the opposite on purpose.
Two doors in. Same building.
